Sweat it Out

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

Society has taught us "Don't let them see you sweat". We have taken that not just figuratively but also quite literally. What many of us do not know, is how important and crucial sweating is for the body. Here are some reasons why you should free your pores of antiperspirants and sweat it out.

1. Sweating promotes healthy circulation

2. Sweating removes toxins from the body.

3. Sweating helps fight sickness

4. Sweating lowers body temperature

5. Sweating promotes healthier skin

6. Sweating speeds up the healing process

Promotes healthy circulation: When sweating your heart rate increases and so does circulation of the blood. When the sweat glands start producing liquid, they drive blood flow to the skin that turns on the circulatory system.

Removes toxins: Sweat contains all sorts of organic and inorganic matter from the body, that including harmful toxins like metals, phthalates, and BPA. Toxins that are deep within the skin are forced to the surface when you sweat and are removed from the body.

Helps fight sickness: Sweating has a detoxifying nature that can boost your immune system making it stronger for fighting against common ailments. Sweat contains nitrite which acts as an antibacterial and anti-fungal on the skin.

Lowers body temperature: Sweat is the body’s way of regulating temperature. This is important during exercise, sweating helps your body manage excess heat while keeping your core temperature from rising too quickly.

Promotes healthier, clearer skin: Sweating opens up your pores thus reducing the chances of them becoming clogged with bacteria or dirt. Sweating works against blackhead and acne formation.

Speeds healing: Sweating increases your metabolic processes and thus stimulates your immune system. Sweating is your body’s way of healing itself when you are a sick or injured.

The Iluv2sweat challenge is about taking ownership of our actions, getting out of our way as we release/eliminate/detox our mind, body and or spirit of waste, energy, overly processed manufactured food product, behaviors and thoughts that are not in alignment and do not serve us on our journey to reveal the Creator within.
